Flood in Pakistam-2010

I am deeply touched by the recent sufferings of people of Pakistan due to flood . The total number of people affected are more than the grand total of the people affected in 2004 Andaman Tsunami , 5 million ,three million each in earth quake in Pakistan 2005 and earth quake in Haiti 2010 .Current report suggests approximately 20 million people are affected and already 1500 people succumbed to death . UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said this is the worst disaster he has ever seen and strongly urged the world to step up its assistance. Approximately 750,000 homes have been damaged, and 2.6 million acres of cropland, along with roads and bridges, are destroyed, which makes availability and delivery of essential goods difficult..

We know what is flood . If some one can escape flood s/he is to fight with hunger . If hunger is negotiated one needs to encounter post flood water borne diseases. When world community responded spontaneously in other human catastrophe response in this case is not that that satisfactory . I read Anjelina Joli donated 100000 USD . In our subcontinent we have many reach people . I hope they will come forward to save the humanity . Today it is in Pakistan next time it could be in our country . I wish more communities and individual will come forward to provide helping hand to these sufferer people .
